ABOUT ME
Rob Oley is a 3rd generation Manlius resident, and 2nd generation Fayetteville-Manlius High School graduate. He married Tine in 1996 and they have three wonderful children Febe, Kobe and Luna; all of whom graduated from F-M. Rob has been employed at Tracey Road Equipment as an IT Coordinator for the last 22 years. Additionally, he runs a painting business called Working Nights and Weekends. Many of you may know him from working at Buzzy’s Diner, a family-run business that thrived in the village for 29 years.
He stays informed of Village happenings by attending board meetings and has done so for the past four years. At the meetings he uses the public forum to ask questions and challenge the current board on issues such as vacant buildings, traffic flow and how the village will keep a community feel for their long-term residents. He feels more can be done and he wants to help.
He is looking forward to running a bi-partisan campaign, hence the choice of purple. He wants to serve the community that he loves so much.
ROB'S PLAN
Actively PROMOTE and inform the residents, businesses and community to promote participation in Village referendums, events and opportunities.
Encourage PURPOSEFUL change to create a community feel. With decades of experience living and working in the Village, I am in a place to effect positive change. I want to serve the Village community and inspire change that the residents feel is needed.
To continue to put myself in a POSITION to help as I have in the past. Four years attending board meetings with active participation fostering change when it’s needed. I spend my free time walking the village, paying attention to the necessary improvements and increasing my village awareness. I also participate in a positive manner on social media platforms.
