Projects

Past and Current

Washington St, Manlius

I was tasked by my neighbor and special friend to paint her guest bathroom and dining area—one of two community projects I completed in 2024 to give back.

I cleaned the trim with Krud Kutter, sanded the walls and trim, and primed all surfaces with Zinsser Smart Prime. After caulking where needed, I painted the trim with Benjamin Moore Scrub-X Satin in 'Mourning Dove,' a fantastic paint for its smooth finish and excellent coverage. The bathroom was painted with Benjamin Moore Aura Bath and Spa Matte in 'Nature's Gift,' and the dining area with Benjamin Moore Aura Matte in 'Whipple Blue.' Ceilings were finished with PPG Ceiling Paint Flat White.

During the project, I removed failing wallpaper, sealed the surface with Gardz primer, and installed new switch plates and outlet covers. Special thanks to Purcell's Paints for their help and support!

Snowball Run, Dewitt

Contracted to fix a crack in the ceiling, paint the ceiling, and make the kitchen window area brighter.

To fix the crack, rather then hide it, I scraped out the ceiling area wider then the drywall tape to to be used. Any large gaps were filled. A Fibre Fuse drywall tape was embedded in and a number of coats of drywall was applied to finish the ceiling flat. The area was sanded smooth and a sealing primer applied. A coat of Texolite textured sand paint was applied to match existing ceiling. Other parts of the ceiling were primed with a stain blocking being this was in the kitchen. The whole ceiling was painted with 2 coats of PPG ceiling paint, flat white
The trim was washed, sanded, primed with a stain blocking primer. Then 2 coats of Benjamin Moore White Scuff-X in Satin sheen was applied.

Warren St., Syracuse

Contracted to paint various structures and fixtures on the rooftop of a building in downtown Syracuse, NY. The color scheme is designated for water, gas, and electric systems, while doors, windows, steps, hatches, and steel structures are painted grey. Preparation involved wire brushing or sanding all surfaces to remove excess rust, followed by spot priming with acrylic primer and finishing with two coats of acrylic paint.

Braxfield CT., DC

Hired to repaint a bathroom that was originally lime green. We began by prepping the walls, ensuring they were clean and smooth for proper paint adhesion. The space was transformed with a fresh coat of blue-gray paint, giving the room a more modern and calming feel. The new color beautifully complemented the bathroom’s fixtures, creating a soothing and inviting atmosphere.

United Methodist Church, Manlius

Contracted to restain a handicap ramp at a Methodist church. The project began with cleaning and sanding the ramp to remove dirt and any previous, worn-out stain. Once the surface was properly prepped, a fresh coat of high-quality stain was applied to protect the wood and enhance its appearance. Special attention was given to ensuring even coverage for durability and weather resistance, creating a welcoming and accessible entrance for the church community.

Brattle Rd., Syracuse

Hired to repaint the exterior of a residential property. The project involved removing old, chipped paint and thoroughly prepping the surface before applying fresh coats of paint. The shutters were repainted in a contrasting dark color, while the main structure was coated in white, giving the house a clean and refreshed appearance. Careful attention was given to ensuring all surfaces, including window trims and siding, were evenly coated for a durable and aesthetically pleasing finish.
